Deferred Exams

I've been out of college since last tuesday with tonsillitis, but it doesn't look like i'll be back in for the rest of the term as I've been hit quite hard by the infection. I haven't been able to eat and I've been pretty much in bed since Tuesday and of course, I haven't been studying. I don't think i'm gonna have the energy I need to get through my exams, let alone get the grades I need (I'm JS Engineering-this year counts towards 20% of my degree).

Is it possible to defer my exams until the repeats in September or do I have to just make do and hope I get through?

    Cheers.

The very first thing you need to do is to talk to your tutor. They're the best person to advise you on this. To defer your exams you'll need a note from a doctor and an application will have to be made on your behalf by your tutor. Of course it is possible, but each case is dealt with individually. If you think you are not being treated fairly or don't think you are getting the support you need then give Bartley in the SU a shout - it's his job to help out in situations like this.

Good post Xebec! I think that's about as good advice as one can give on the matter.

Reckon it was masonitis, named in your honour! I take it your study's been going well then if you're on boards!?

Got in touch with my tutor, gonna sit the exams-really don't wanna study in august. Thankfully the study I did before I got sick seems to have been enough to get me through. I know a lot more than I thought! Always a good thing!
