    The Acer X1260 is more suited to business/education projection and not for playing DVD's.

    Things like XGA resolution (1024 x 768), Contrast 2000:1 and the lack of a HDMI connection, make it not sutiable for Home Theatre.

    I think everyone here will agree that the best value projector on the market for Home Theatre at the moment is the Optoma HD65. You can also shave a little more off the price if purchased from the UK.

    I have reciently bought one of these and its is truly an amazing HT projector for this price. Gives superb performance with both SD resolution and 1080/24 on a PS3.

    Well worth a look.

    Thanks jmal, the Optoma HD65 does look amazing but a bit beyond my budget for the moment, even the Acer at 504 is a bit of a stretch, might just have to wait.

    Entry level HT projectors are getting lower and lower in price. 6 months ago a similar PJ was well over the €1000 mark.

    Key an eye on the market, the next mile stone for the good quality HT Projectors will be around the €500 mark,

    And from what I've heard, Optoma are looking like there going to be the first to hit this target.
