Ah, the weekly career question from timegetfit :D

    http://www.bankers.ie/

Institute of Bankers, based in Dublin 1. They run courses around the country but Dublin is the HQ. They are very good!
Courses are now over for the year but if you email for a prospectus you'll get it around July.

It can be done part-time of course. In fact, most people doing the course are being sponsored by their employer. Actualy you may need some industry experience to qualify so you might need to check that.

How long? Dunno, read the link and you'll find out

its not full-time. you do this course while working. It takes two years if you do one module at a time but it would be possible to do two at a time & finish in a year or so. You have 4 lectures for each module- approx 3 hours long each. Its quite boring most of it!! everyone seems to be doing them at moment.

Courses are run in Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway and Athlone. Possibly more.
I don't know about self-study, it might be possible.
Not sure about Kilkenny but then that isn't a real city! :D

It's an Irish qualification and many employers insist on it these days so if you don't have it then may expect you to do it part-time

So it's not realy got international recognition
THE course for that is Chartered Financial Analyst . But you seriously can't look at this yet, it's insanely difficult
