It's time to let it out. Having bummed around for years and neglected the muse-ical monster within I now want to play again, tinker with sounds and feel the buzz from playing music again.

I can play the guitar for some fifteen years or so now, though I haven't really played it in much ten. I do have rythym, can play lead, and a bit of a scruffy singing voice. I have also studied two years of sound engineering, though this was ten years ago. But never-the-less it's still in there. I do have a creative side, but which due to travelling and not setting down roots I have neglected and not nurtured. The time has come.

I love live music, as in played by people and not by a PC. I have travelled so my influences would be wide; from roots in balls to the wall rock'n'roll, blues, some classical and jazz, ravey dancey, most things old skool - 60/70s r'n'b and soul, hip hop (70s New York) [just don't ask me to name them], to any kind of traditional world music. I particularly love rythyms, African, Latin, intricate, interwoven and progressive, which I defy anyone not to wiggle their ass to. And that beautiful, fuzzy-glowy, warm, electric wall of sound of good old valve amp rock 'n' roll and it's emphasis on truth, raw emotion and having a good time.

I don't want world domination. I just want to play for the fun of it, to awake the creative me and sooth the soul, all while having a good laugh. I don't have a strong repetoir of cover-songs to my belt but am very willing to learn while also collaborating on sounds and melodies for something new. I would say I am rusty but I polish up well.

Anyone interested please let me know.
    Dave
