Placepot

    Have a question regarding a placepot I did yesterday and hoping someone can answer on here..

    Basically I did a placepot at Goodwood which was declared at €302 and by my accounts it came in. The numbers were:
    1 - 1 [1st]
    2 - 2 [1st], 8 [2nd]
    3 - 2 [3rd], 7
    4 - 7 [1st], 5
    5 - 3 [1st], 4
    6 - 2 [1st]
    Cost= 50 cent x 16 = €8

    Now when I went into the bookies yesterday it came up on screen 'Lost'. But the results clearly show that it should have won.

    Is that correct?

    I dont know how it could be declared a loser if you have 5 winners out of the 6 races and the other race had a third placed finisher in a race with 9 runners!
    Get back on to them after you have double checked the numbers

    In the fifth race, horse number 3 didn't win. He finished second and because of two non-runners, it was only a four runner race so finishing second is no good for place purposes. Cruelly unlucky!

    Yeah just found this out also.. well sickened!

    Ah well, not going to quit now. Managed to get two placepots right last week worth about €200 altogether and then had that unfortunate one above which would have netted me €300. Ah well.
