WOW amazing screenshots. I've become more interested in Flight Sims lately after reading an article in PC Gamer. Going to have to get one now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,924 ✭✭✭Nforce

It's off Avsim. A/C is the Tinmouse 737-200. Panel doesn't work in fsx tho'.

Can you list the addon's you're using. They look incredible. Do you get usable frame rates or did you just bump it up to take the pictures?

What kinda rig are you using?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,924 ✭✭✭Nforce

Addon's are too numerous to mention..but some of the biggies are ActiveSkyX/GraphicsX and UTX and GEX. I'm using the E8500 rig as below(new rig will take over soon), but still only using one 2407WFP-HC at the moment...........everything maxxed out graphics wise and running 1920x1200 res.
In game FPS is locked to 30...and it rarely drops below this.

With Photoshop you'd nearly get away with putting those up on airliners.net as real photos :) Great shots dude :)

Whats the EI Airbus model by the way? I'd like a nice one of them...

Cheers, P. Not sure what model that EI is...possibly default FSX although i've the Wilco model too. All of these screenshots were taken ages ago....in some cases up to 2 years ago, and pc's have changed. Heres a few more.......

What game is this? Are there enemies, or what? Also, is it an arcade type game, or a lock-on type game?

Looking for a nice fancy arcade sort of gmae (ie: one which you don't need more than 8 different things just to take off, such as Falcon4, or the WW2 Lock-On series).

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,939 ✭✭✭pclancy

....My laptop with its crappy geforce go graphics card finds your posts offensive and wants you banned on the grounds of making me want to buy a new desktop pc with a decent graphics card and not a car this year. Dam you. But nice screenies :)

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,924 ✭✭✭Nforce

Cheers Pclancy....given the choice of automobiles and lower insurance rates that you have in New Zealand....I know that if it were me, I wouldn't be too concerned about buying a new pc but rather something with a big V8 engine :D

@the_syco...This is FSX. ....although i've photoshopped the sidewinder missile launch. I was flying the Cloud9 Phantom against an AI aircraft (in this case a MiG-21). The AI flight was recorded with FSRecorder.

Try the thirdwire series. A combat sim lite. Not arcade though.

I like Wings over Vietnam and Wings Over Europe. Fun and tactically interesting, but simple to fly, if harder to master. You can find it cheap, and most purists look down on it. But I found I didn't have the time anymore for the heavier sims, and when I did get a chance I had to re learn it all over again. These run well on lesser hardware too. The latest version Wings Over Israel is a bit more demanding I hear. I haven't tried it yet. I kinda like the Vietnam era, and this sim goes well with the books I've read on it.

All the thirdwire series use the same engine just with with tweaks, and different aircraft, and theatre etc. Decent community on different forums, with tweaks and loads of addon aircraft.

    Hi NForce,
Is the scenary around Abbeyshrule from the UTX europe program?
Any chance you could take a screenshot from around my home area, 53.324 N, 7.988W (west Offaly), you've me sold on buying the scenario, but at 3gb download, it'll take a while to download. (unless I do it in work :-))

    Tks

Gunner...you can get the Fouga here

Bogger77...UTX changes the ground textures for the whole of Europe. FSX does not ,unfortunately, have great mapping of Ireland so outside of the major cities is rather barren. I got the EIAB scenery from here though you'll need the RWY12 collection(available free @ Avsim.com) in order to get the buildings etc.
