I see CPW are selling coloured pearls (pink on O2 and red on vodafone). Does anyone think this is the start of a push towards more consumer orientated use similar to the US.
If so do you think O2 or vodafone will offer more consumer orientated inclusive tariffs rather than the current voice/text tariff and a blackberry add on?
Also do you think they will be cheaper to attract more people on board. I see they are now from 49 euro

I thought the problem with a blackberry was that the rental contract and calls were too dear? Not so? How much does a monthly contract cos? How much do calls cost? I'd certainly think of one if these were reasonable. (By the way, can you use it with a TomTom as a handsfree?)

You start with a regular call/text package. They start from 19-20 euro. Then to get blackberry push email you need the blackberry add-on which is 20 euro +VAT (25 euro). For that you get unlimited email and internet (through the BB browser)

Hmm, that doesn't sound any dearer than what I have on the phone! And the yoke itself? How much does it cost?

I thought the consumer push had started when the 8100 came out with a camera and media player to be honest. This of course is gonna just push it further.

With the high speed data packages and phones available these days, and with new packages no doubt on the way I can see blackberry quickly fading into the distance in it's current form unless they start dropping prices etc.
