i have a epi les paul standard that doesnt get allot of use since i got my Schecter c-7 hellraiser, so ive been thinking of upgrading the epi somewhat .
ive been thing about putting some new pups in it , i was looking arounds and i was thinking of sticking http://www.thomann.de/ie/seymour_duncan_sshjb_jazz_rodded_humbucker.htmthem into it.has anyone here used those pups before?
any other ideas for upgrading would be appreciated thanks.

Well, the Schecter comes with EMGs if I'm not mistaken, so the Duncans would have a very different sound. You're best off describing the kind of sound you want from your Epi.

But, I've used the exact set you link to, and yes, they're very good indeed.

yeah the has Schecter EMG 707s in it ,well i play allot of at the gates-meshuggah style stuff , so its all death metal, melodic death stuff which is why i got the c7 ,but really id like to keep the epi with passive pups so theres no hassle trying to hide a battery

Hot rodded set is probably the best all rounder.....certainly the most popular with Seymour.....

I fitted my old Epi les paul with Dimarzio X2N pickups and she screamed.....even better than the Gibson Les Paul i have with that exact HotRod set.....

    That's just my opinion.....
