    Hi
Any shops in ireland that do a good crumpler range, so far I've found the products very limited.
I can get the stuff online but would like to get my hands on some before I part with cash?

Also I am looking for a fairly squishable camera backpack (decent size) all suggestions welcome?

Conns Cameras (www.connscameras.com) have a big range of Crumpler bags on their website, not sure if they're all actually on view in their shop, ie 54 Clarendon Street, Dublin.

Conns tend to be the most expensive shop around.

Give a call to Gunns on Wexford St. If they don't have it in stock, I'm sure they'll get it for you.

I have one, a shoulder bag. It looks really nice but it's a bit on the bulky side. Definitely try to see one before you buy online. I got mine as a pressie but probably wouldn't get one now if I had a choice. It's handy if you don't have too much to put in it though.

The OP intends buying online, he just wants to see the bags first so Conns' prices won't be a concern.

I had a 7 Million Dollar bag (shoulder bag) which has plenty room for a body and 3 lenses iirc, with some extra equipment. The only downsides I found with it was the strap was very harsh, and tended to dig into you with only a limited amount of gear in it. Also, it didn't wear well at all for travel purposes.

The Customary Barge (backpack) is the cam. bag I use now. It's fantastic for your camera and other stuff you need for day-to-day excursions. It can hold a laptop/notebooks aswell as a change of clothes or food or whatever else along with my camera and a lens or two. You can attach a tripod aswell which makes it dead handy for day trips.

That looks a brilliant bag, an amazing amount of room for everything.

I love Crumpler's stuff, I have a Boomer for my laptop and a Pretty Boy (:o) for my camera. They're a bit expensive though, the Customary Barge is showing up as $190 on Amazon. But I suppose you get what you pay for.

If anyone's interested in a budget backpack with space for lenses and bits and pieces this might be worth a look - the Tamrac 5273 Expedition 3. This Canadian seller on Ebay is selling it for ST£44 inc p&p.

    Does anyone have it?

My problem is going on a rtw trip, and cannot do without my camera gear.
    Trying to find a solution to carrying a 50 - 50 liter backpack plus camera gear (1 - 2 bodies, 4 lenses).

Stick to 40 litre! You'll regret taking any more imo. Its so much easier to travel with the lightest bag you can, esp. for hoping on buses, trains etc. I don't know if Crumpler have anything that would suffice really.

Yeah, they're quite pricey. I've bought all my stuff in the states though, and have found them with a little discount in outlet malls. I think I bought the Barge for $130 in the Wrentham outlet, Boston. I have it awhile too, maybe 18 mnths, and it shows no signs of being used at all. Will definitely have it for a good while.

I really like the crumpler range.

Conns have most of the range in stock, and if you take into consideration the postage of ordering online, and get Conns to knock off a tenner or more, it's the same price. It is most buying most of their bags tbh.
