im not sure which is broken,so i'll post here, but it might be moved to another forum.

anyhoo, we have clearwire in our house, and three of us use it.(we broadcast wireless through our laptops)
since last sunday clearwire hasnt been working when i plug it into the network cable port of my laptop.since i was the one broadcasting this meant no one had internet.
now it works on french housemate 1s computer, and he has the internet running smooth, but not on mine.
he "couldnt" broadcast from french guy number 2s laptop(or hes being lazy) and refuses to broadcast from his (because he doesnt feel like it).

i know clearwire have been having problems (in carlow anyway) but its working when he plugs into his but not mine. all i get is limited or no connectivity message.
before this it was working fine, i had not changed anything, theres no viruses ad no one had access to it over last weekend.

is my laptop to blame?and if so, how would i fix it?

    thanks in advance,

    Nerin

What OS are you running ?

Look in Device Manager to check your Ethernet Controller driver is installed ok - It'll be under Network Adapters and would show an exclamation mark beside the ethernet controller if it's driver is not installed . If there's no sign of a problem there right-click on it and under the Driver tab see if you can roll back the driver . Windows Update can sometimes mess up by updating drivers unnecessarily .
Other possibilities would be firewall/security settings and TCP/IP settings - can you ping the other 2 laptops ?

It can't be a problem with Clearwire if it works on another machine .

As an aside , investing in a router would cut out the broadcasting issue .
