Has anyone ever bought a backpack from mymemory.com? I have tried it twice now, and both times it has told me it is too heavy to ship to Ireland.

I've ordered memory from them, nothing more. Never had a problem with them.

Unusual that a backpack is too heavy.

They won't ship anything over 2kg in weight outside the UK.

They use Jersey Post/Royal Mail letter packet rate. Anything above 2kg becomes a parcel with much higher charges.

I had the same thing happen as well. I tried to order a Lowepro Vertex 200, but it was overweight, though a few months ago, I sucessfully ordered a Slingshot 200. The only way around it was to have it sent to a friend of mine in London that was coming this way by chance...

    Thanks.

When I tried it a while ago on a few different sites, each one had a different problem in sending it to me.

Just ordered it now off the same Amazon seller I got my Slingshot.

By the way, picstop.co.uk are having a 25% off SanDisk products weekend.

I actually found that you don't save much on bags when ordering online.

I got my Slingshot 300 from a shop in Dublin, and at the time it was the same price online. Of course, now with the currency rate so good, it might just be a little cheaper online.

Probably Paul if you are in Dublin and have a choice of shops.

But going online, Irish Mini Photo have the Vertex 200 at €269, while MyMemory have it at £130, less VAT, and then £20 cash back as well.

I can't remember how much postage I payed on my Slingshot, but it wasn't too much.

I got my Slingshot 200 for €70 from MyMemory and at the time, the cheapest price in Dublin was about €120...
