Should be a good nights entertainment.

Malagnaggi fight should be good too, although it's probably going to be N'dou that brings the excitement.

Matt Hatton gets a free lift again , he's living off strings pulled.
I just cant take to him ,.... I think its because i hate boxers that wear camaflouge trunks.
Hunter was the same , always came in like a walking advertisment for "Army Bargains" .

Monroe on the other hand made me laugh , seeing everybody in the corpo high-viz jackets :)

Hey Sligobhoy,....... dont you give Lazcano any chance here ?
He's a puncher,...not prolific, but a puncher none the less.
I wonder if Hatton may have lost a bit of heart in boxing after the PBF ordeal ?

Bernard Done should be recruited by Hatton to tell him how to fight Bums and get away with it in the publics eyes for ages.:pac::pac:

Lazacano is a decent "opponent"- a solid comeback fighter. Leave Hatton be he has earned a gimme.

imo i cant see hatton beating lazcano as rickys state of mind (from the last fight) will be any help to him.In my gut feeling that hatton will go down again or badly cut up.

Suppose if there was ever a time a fighter thought would be good to have a go with Hatton now would be a good time. He is eager to impress, is picking an opponent due to their "beatability" and also that his confidence may be shot after getting knocked out. Plus he still holds the linear 140 lb title.
Laczanos downfall is that he hasnt fought in over a year since losing to Vivian Harris. Cant believe its ppv... with 2 guys coming off losses headlining.

    cant believe its PPV either.

However, I got a load of Sligo guys over for the fight and as I live in Manchester I'll be there - I'll report back.

I have two spares also if anyone is interested.

Yeah ,... he should be fine by fight night.

I wouldnt like to fight whilst having the flu/infection i've just been thru.
I think I can stilll feel masses of fluid around my head when i shake.
I been delerious with illness ,.......

Anyway ,.... Im finally rooting for hatton for the 2nd time ever.
Knock the yank out , ma se de huile.

I was at the fight last night and my continuing falling out of love with Hatton goes on.

    Opinions on the Hatton "knockdown"??

If it was when Hatton went down in the second your talking about then it was a slip for me . Don't think a punch even landed .

It was funny when the commentator tried to explain away Hatton slightly losing his balance in round 8.
That can happen when you take a big punch:D

for me it was a kd. Lazcano landed with a light left - Hatton was going backwards and was off balance a was caught with another left which alomost had the effect of pushing him over rather than knocking him over - thats a legal kd in my book and should have been counted.

Well from what I saw(and I've only seen this on American channel versus who didn't do a great job on the replay) , Lazcano landed a light left as you described , then Hatton seemed to get his right foot tangled with Lazcano's left(possibly threading on top of it) and when Hatton moved his right foot back he stumbled and went down while Lazcano threw another left which I'm not sure landed) .

To me any punches landed seemed to have little effect on Hatton , however if he was off balance there and there was a scoring blow on him which caused him to go over , then it should have been called a knockdown .

Yet again from my point of view no knockdown, but I could be wrong .

Deadly photos, thought the fatman suit was class:D

Hatton looked too eager to please from the first bell i thought. One thing that stood out was when he was coming forward at Lazcano he was taking flurries of body shots. While these didnt take any effect I was convinced if Lazcano through one or two of those as headshots (and Hatton was extremely open for these) it could have changed the course of the fight dramatically. This happened at least twice.

I see Jamie Moore won his fight. Did I miss the highlights or did sky not show it?
