    :pac:...ie. bored of "serious" musicians? Would you like to be in a band that enjoys what it does? Do you listen to Devo? or Delta 5? or ...?

    We're all late 20's/early 30's, setting up a band with a pretty stripped back, but melodic and dancefloor-worthy sound. Vintage sounds, but not lo-fi just for the sake of it. We aim to write material, but we'll definitely include some covers in our regular set. Think "Disco Not Disco", relocated to Dublin in 2008.
    If this description is a little vague, here's the actual mathematical equation we're using to formulate the band;

    50% organic "post-punk" (in the biblical sense)
    40% analog "80's" (the term is of chronological significance, not ideological)
    6% Kraut
    2% Disco
    2% Blade Runner

    Now that that's all been made clear, here's our list of demands - We need a drummer, and we are hoping to meet somebody with similar ideas. Super-technical, Neil Peart-style, 72-piece-kit wizardry is not on the agenda, as a matter of fact, we'd love to hear from any absolute beginners. The basis of this band is enjoyable music, without being throwaway; quirky is fine, but we don't do trite. We want a drummer who is enthusiastic first, talented second.
