Have yet to watch a match so far, but had a look at some results there... made for interesting reading.
    • Tolouse's record win in this years T14, beating Auch 72-12 with 11 tries, despite resting plenty of their 1st team. Bad news for Munster fans?
    • Clermont shock 35-28 home defeat to Castres, with both sides having picked up a bonus point, (interesting to note: castres outscore clermont 4 tries to 1, clermont were on an 11 match undefeated streak, and had not been beaten at home since March 2006!!)
    • Edinburugh beating Ospreys in wales, despite picking up 2 yellow cards.. (Robinson has worked wonders with them)
    • Connacht coughing up a bonus point to the Blues, doing Leinster no favours..

Any thoughts on the Munster and Leinster games later on?

Correct me if I'm wrong but Leinster only needed to pick up one point from their last two games or Cardiff to drop 1 point out of ten for their last two to win the league?

Is this based on performance against each other or points difference?

    leinster just need 1 point

Ah right, was under the impression the situation was a bit tighter between Leinster and the Blues.. evidentally not!

No Leinster need 2 points. i.e. two losing bonus points or if Dragons were to drop a bonus point (which they didn't againt Connacht) then Leinster would only require one losing bonus point or of course a draw in eitehr games would do it.

But that will all be irrelivant after todays game!! :) I think we're going to put in a big performance this evening and wouldn't be surprised if we wrapped it up with a handsome bonus point victory.

Incidently, I have a spare ticket to the North stand for this game if anybody wants it. K.O. 6pm. Just the one though.

Also, did I read somewhere that should the Dragons finish as the lowest placed Welsh region and Connacht the lowest place Irish provence they will hold a play off for the final HC spot?

I.E. Scotland get 2 automatic HC places, Ireland & Wales get 3 automatic HC spots and the final HC spot is decided on a playoff between the the lowest Irish and Welsh team, loser going into Challenge cup.

Would be great and would make sense (seeing as Irish sides have been far more sucsessfull in Europe than Welsh ones, why should they get 4 spots and us get 3??) and would add to the league as well imo.

Cause have to say you would fancy Connachts chances against them, especially after beating them away only recently, also Connacht have made a couple of decent signings for next season, Keatley and Carr are going there from Leinster for next season. (surprised about Carr, thought he was one of our most promising academy players)

Nope, not how it works. The higher placed of the two teams goes into a play-off against the third Italian team. The Dragons have managed to stay above Connacht every season though (mind you, they managed to lose to the Italians once).

Carr and Keatley were always going to stuggle for gametime though. As it is Fitz is on the bench with D'Arcy injured. With Nacewa here as well next year, things are going to be pretty crowded.

Munster are 20-5 down with 33 mins gone.

Leinster should win well tonight. Felt sorry for Connacht last night but personally I'd rather see us win it ourselves tonight. Gonna back Ollie to score a try tonight, probably his last game so he'll have to sign off in style!

I certainly did! €10 @ 40/1 for first try. Cheers Ollie!! That should pay for tonight and 1 or 2 pints in Newport next Friday :D:D:D.

Lucky enough but odds were too tempting to pass up. I generally back a forward to score first for us, they are great value bets, Heaslip is usually around 33/1 but has about as many tries as any of the backs this season, who are usually 12/1 or less.

Munster just have that extra will to win. Can't see Toulouse scoring many tries even with the first team. I'd predict a 22-18 win to Munster
