Zone or Man?

    What tactics do you prefer on the pitch? I prefer a zone, because it can work really well if everyone knows what their roles are, and what to be doing. I'm not a particularly fast runner, so man marking is kinda tougher, but stick me in a flatback three, or on a wing and I can do it.

    So how do you prefer to play?

    It all depends on the situation.

    If the weather and conditions make throwing difficult then zone is the way to go. Similarly if the team you're playing has weak handlers then and zone defence is the most effective.

    But if you're playing on a windless day and or against a team with experienced handlers then they will more than likely walk through any kind of zone you put on them.

    On a personal level im not sure what i prefer, Man d can be fun but there is definitely a satisfying feeling from getting turnovers using a solid zone. And like you said if everyone know what they are doing then its happy days.
