Rented out the film to watch it tonight and when it starts to play, before even the menu comes up there is an ad for HIV awareness, Now I can see the fact that they want to raise awareness, fair enough but not everyone wants to sit through watching it and yet you cant even skip past it! Yet you can skip the "downloading is illegal" ad. WTF?!! It was eight minutes long, I find that really annoying that you have to sit through the whole ad!!!

    Rant over..

8 minutes? The retail better not have it when it is released.

How on earth could you not be aware of HIV?

Haha! yeah i know, hopefully the retail version doesnt have it or at least has a skip option and hopefully this doesnt mean there gonna increase the advertisements in rental dvds. Its already annoying as it is

That sounds ridiculous! What are they even talking about for eight minutes??? Some of those rental DVDs have absurd amounts of ad. Always annoys me when theres ads for chocolate bars and stuff on them. Ahrr! Just get to the film!

Its a story about an african girl who "falls in love" with another guy,has sex and she gets aids, its annoying,I wanted to watch the end of the film at lunch but had to wait again for the ad to pass

Stupid question but was the "next track" option not available? Any DVD's I've ever had with "previews" on them can just be clicked right past (tho I do agree they shouldn't be there in the first place - not even ads for other films!).

I would demand a refund, 8 minutes is an utterly ridiculous amount of time to have to sit through something before you're even allowed to watch the movie you had intended. Disgraceful.

tried everything,no way of skipping it,well my dad rented it and i dont he would really care but I liked the film but if thats on the dvd im definitely not buying it. Theyre supposed to be trying to stop people downloading films but if they decide to put more of those ads into all mew releases then it certainly wont help

Is the sex at least visible enough to keep it interesting??? :D Still a load of bollix though. I rented a film a couple of weeks back (can't remember the name, it was sh1t anyway) and had to sit through 5 or 6 minutes of film trailers. Skip function would not work, tried everything but was still forced to watch through it.

HIV? That's so passé. I mean a cancer ad i'd understand as that seems to be all the rage at the moment amongst celebrities trying to support something. I really thought they milked most of the Aids and HIV stuff dry in the 90's.

Maybe Gwyn was late to hop on the band wagon and is trying to play catch up?

if thats the case nobody would ever have to pay for going to the cinema with the the amount of ads before things nowadays

Basically they tagged on a little short movie... before youre movie with no way of skipping? Buggers!

Its not even before the movie, its before the menu even comes up,now if it was done good and was watchable (but tbh i dont know how they could do it good since its about HIV) then i wouldnt mind

    That's ridiculous.
I hate the anti downloading warnings as well.
Ironically, if you do illegally download the movie, you don't have to sit through them.

No way to flick forward or sped up for me.

Incredible arrogance from whoever took the decision to subject us to such crap when we have paid to view a film.

I recommend a boycott. Even tho the movie is not bad. Ask you local movie store to inform you when they have copies without the sermon. That you would then be interested in renting it.
