Got a tri on the 25th of May Sprint distance

My run time is 26 mins for 5 k

My cycle time is 48 mins for 21.5k

^^^^ i know they are not exactly bejing times but just want to finish

I did a tri 2 years ago and loved it but have been pretty sick since then and only started back exercising last autumn/winter.

Now the part where you'll start laughing and tell me to give up:o

My swimming has always been my weak event and i only started back this week.

It took me 24mins to do the 30 lengths as required for race. i was doing them in sets of 4x25m with 1 min break but then during that one min break i'd walk 2x25m.

    My questions are:

can i possibly get my time down to 20 mins?

Would walking the lenghts be counted? :o

I currently swim the morning and cycle at lunch mon-thurs ( rational i should lose more weight)and run friday with some variety over weekend but no swim how does it sound?

On the 17th of May i am off to santa ponsa for a week this will obviously hamper my cycling but presume that sea swimming and beach running will be of big benefit?

Thanks for reading and any advice ya can give and plz dont pull any punch's

Usually the cut off for a 750m swim is 25 minutes so 24 would be okay.

The cut off point in this race is 30 mins so i should be safe time wise
