I was looking for a new laptop, primarily for gaming and using the basics i.e Microsoft Word and Frontpage etc. I will be bringing it to university but dont mind about the bigger screen. I download a lot of Films and music so would need a substantial hard drive, but alternatively i could get an external if need be.

Would like at least 2GB of RAM, close to 2ghz processor, and a decent graphics card. Probably will be stretching my budget a bit, i have looked at a couple of laptops so far including:

The Samsung R700 which is slightly over budget but seems good.

The HP Pavillion dv6710ea which i really like the look of and is quality at £476.32 on dabs.com

If anyone would like to suggest a laptop to help me in choosing one i would appreciate it. Baz

I'd have a gander at www.laptopsdirect.co.uk ad they'll have a good selection for your price range plus prices are in sterling. However they have a bad track record with some people so beware before purchasing form the if you decide to.
