Hey guys, I just uploaded a video of my band playing a gig with my camera (Mov. format) and I was wondering is there anyway I can take the audio from the video to make into just an Audio file?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place

If you mean something like this:

Jealousy - Kevin On A Bike

Audacity will do it for you.

Thanks man, but I mean like an actual video recording from my digital camera. I have the file (quicktime format) uploaded into this Audacity thing now but I've not a clue what to do

Basically what you do is play your movie file & use Audacity to record it then save it as an .mp3 file.

    Here's how:

Download & Install Audacity (Make sure it's 1.3.4 Beta).
    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_windows

Download Lame Encoder & Extract to its own folder.
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/audio_encoders/lame_mp3_encoder.cfm/v3_97

Copy lame_enc.dll from the Lame folder to the C:\Windows\System folder.

    Open Audacity:

Play your movie file & immediately hit the RECORD button in Audacity.

When song /movie finishes hit the STOP button in Audacity.

Then click on “File” & choose “Export as MP3

Audacity will look for the lame_enc.dll file you copied earlier, so just point it to the file in C:\Windows\System (It will only ask this once, so you won’t need to do it in future)

    By the way Kevin,

If you want to delete the file I uploaded (It will only be there for 30 days either-way)
