I'm using divx and when I put in the recoeded disc it says to put in a blank. I also have convertxtodvd which seems to record over a used disc, but takes a lot longer than divx. Love convertx but takes about hour and a half to convert and burn, whereas divx lets you burn around five or six movies onto one disc in minutes. When you're in a hurry the latter is so handy. Hope someone out there has some answers please.

You can use any good burning program to erase the disc but I have no idea which one is fastest. Try out a few and time them.

The recording software you use should be able to erase a rewritable disc

CheetahDVDBurner - uber small program :)

Could I just say that RW disks are sooo problematic and soooo slow that it's really not worth using them.

Tongue in cheek answer to erasing them is to throw them in the fire :D
