Vodafone 3G

Does anyone else have problems with the 3G network on Vodafone?

And especially when your changing from 2.5G to 3G. If you are on a phone call, 9 times out of 10 the call will be dropped after the sound goes all dodgy and digital sounding. And then it takes a while to get a network back.

Originally i thought it was my phone, which was a Nokia E65, but its still happening on the N95 8GB.

Its very annoying as im on the road a good bit.

And I know that you cant turn off the Dual mode network selection on the phone, but that kinda defeats the purpose.

Well....I haven't experienced dropped calls on my e61, but unless I'm in a strong 3g area I turn off 3g, because a sort of on/off 3g signal plays havoc with email client and webbrowser(I'm talking west of Ireland here, lol )... I use mobile web a lot - mostly opera mini snd teashark, and neither profit from 3g/3.5g anyways (check om's own blog: "no measurable speed difference blahblah"...)...
My n95/8 though deals better with loss of 3g.
