    Hello,
I am curious as to how this works with a community school. Is it tax payers who own the school and the school land as such?

And what power do school management have over this land
ie. can they mark areas for staff only in car parks and the likes and have student areas?

The tax payer owns nothing. Schools tend to be owned either by the state, VECs or trustees (charities).

Community schools are divided into two models, the community school vested in the Minister for Education and Science, and the community college vested in the local Vocational Education Committee. Community colleges tended to be amalgamations of unviable local schools under the umbrella of a new community school model, whereas community colleges have tended to be entirely new foundations.
Note mistake in last sentence where "community colleges" is included twice

Typically a community school is owned by a Minister for Education and Science, but essentially has its own legal personality. The school is managed on a day to day basis by the principal with the aid of a board of management and / or trustees. Parking is a matter for them, not the minister.
