they're comfy but there are comfortier (if there's such a word) around, like dvs and lakai.

stay away from schuh as they have dire skate shoes for guys let alone girls.

I'm a girl and I find buying shoes hard as I have big feet which are also quite wide.
I bought a pair of Etnies around Xmas in Schuh and they are lovely.
I wouldn't imagine you'll have much trouble with the Vans.

i've been wearing skate shoes for the last 4 years, and they're nice and comfortable. I've had vans, dvs and osiris runners and all were excellent.

Very, very comfy, I love them especially at work when I'm on my feet for 7.5+ hours a day.

+1 for the Etnies, they're very comfy. I have fairly wide feet and find them great. I've never tried Vans, but hear good things about them. As long as you lose the Dubes, anything goes!

Dubes aren't quite that bad!!! They're not the nicest shoes in the world but there's worse

I have vans and they're pretty comfortable. They'd be better if the weren't about half a size too small, but that's my fault for having awkwardly sized feet. They needed to be broken in, but one day on my feet running around all the time did it. Buy some moleskin and put in on your ankles and anywhere the shoes might rub. That'll stop you getting cuts/blisters while you're breaking them in. I have really sensitive feet too, so I know what a pain it is!

do you see anyone else saying that? Terrible shoes.

Converse are very comfy too. The problem with skate shoes imo is that they are made to be worn with lose laces imo. When you tighten them up they lose their shape and look also, you cant really do anything other than skate in them, they are useless for sports!

If your doing alot of walking/running they are a definite no-no to buy, you should look into something a little more nikeish

Im lookin for something cool and unusual that are good for walking in. I know its a big ask! Im not a huge fan of standard white runners.

reddy, i'd agree with you on the loose laces thing on some skate shoes but they aren't all like that, if you want loose laced shoes go buy a pair of osiris, only one word to describe them... chunky.

i used to love chunky skate shoes, then i moved away from them when dvs done a non chunky skate shoe and then moved from skate shoes all together now as there's nothing that look nice imo.

i had a pair that lasted me a whole year and a half travelling, comfiest shoes ever, only surpassed by my massive fluffy slippers. i need a new pair now.

I'd recommend Osiris skate runners both for comfort and the amazing designs some of them have. I got my first pair a few months ago and I live in them. (not literally :p)

Tk Maxx are great for skate shoes, its where i always get mine, priced anywhere from 20 - 45 euro. A lot of the time though they don't have the shoes I want in my size.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,484 ✭✭✭JIZZLORD

i've got a few pairs of vans in Tk maxx. i paid 50 quid for a pair that were supposedly the last seasons stock, but last month when i was buying new runners i seen the same pair in another shop for 95 quid.

You can get slip on vans which are THE most comfortable shoes I think i've ever had and there are no laces involved. I bought a pair last february in Glasgow and wore them 98.9% of the time since. Schuh is the only spot i've noticed they do a wide variety...not so much for girls but ther's plenty to choose from in the mens...happy van wearing!

slip on vans would be ruined after one long skate session tbh.

by your third session in them you'd need a new pair tbh.
