iPod Touch and Wireless Encryption

I got an iPod Touch in December when I was in the states and the wireless feature worked fine connecting in hotspots over there. Back home I can also get online in hotspots but not on my home connection. If I remove encryption on the router I can connect fine but once turned on it will not accept the key. Yes I've entered it correctly; I've tried it a million times. I can connect to my girlfriends encrypted connection though when in her house once I enter the key. I'm with UTV internet and the router is a Belkin. Any help appreciated.

    Is your router WEP encrypted?

Are you running the latest firmware, 1.1.4? This fixed a few niggles I had with wifi.

Yes, it's WEP encrypted and I have latest firmware 1.1.4 on the iPod Touch

Try changing the channel used for wifi. I think 12 and 13 aren't available in the US and maybe the iPod isn't keen on adapting to new surroundings ...

Did it work when using WPA encryption by any chance?

    Running out of ideas here.
