Great, what's the most expensive item they have?

I want to get the most points back so I can use the points to buy irishferries vouchers at 4x the value :D

Don't care about the furniture just the points:o

Just to double check, just say I buy the steel table and chairs for €150, I then get €75 back on my clubcard, which I can then use for IrishFerries up to €300?

Is the steel table and chairs the most expensive item?

    Yes :D

ffs, keep an eye out for a cheap/free table on adverts if none of my friends and family want it :pac:

How does it work anyway? Does €75 go back on your card, or does a certain amount of points go back? How many points would equal €75 euro? I already have about 200 points on my card I think.

Dont break out the champagne - 200 points = 2 Euro

    (75 Euro = 7,500 points)

Ok cool, so I'd have 7,700 points if I buy one. Do the points turn up straight away on your card or do you have to wait a few weeks before you can use them I wonder? It says in the T+C above you don't get "change" if you give in vouchers worth more than the trip, so can you ask for your vouchers in €10 increments or how does it work?

Vouchers are mailed every quarter I think, so you'd have to wait until next mailing is due.

Sometimes the points you get from specials take a little longer. Usually on the billboards in Tescos that advertises the offer, it mentions when they are added to your clubcard. The summer could be well over before you get the points from the garden furniture offer :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,554 ✭✭✭CH3OH

This one is not going to appeal to many but......
The 50% back is on all gardening and if you need some weedkiller there is a
540 ml bottle of Roundup for 19.99
    50% back = 10 euro in vouchers
there is a 5 euro cashback on the product from The scotts company (mail in)

So you are getting the product for 15 euro with 10 euro back in clubcard vouchers..

I was out in woodies looking for garden table and chairs and I just happened to stroll into tescos to find a nice sturdy wooden set like I was looking for and on special offer with 50% back, sweet! So I got the table, 4 chairs, parasol and 4 cushions for 390 Euro. So I'm due to get half that back in the mail in August. That's when they send the vouchers for this offer. Anyway I'm out enjoying the furniture today with the crackin weather we're havin. Pity I didn't see your post before cormie, we coulda done a deal :)

The offer is 50 points back for every Euro spent.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,844 ✭✭✭✭cormie

Hey Blade, is there a set for 390 euro? The most expensive set I saw was 150 for a steel table and chairs. Wouldn't mind just going for the most expensive one .

If the points were transferable, maybe we could still do a deal, but I don't think they are:( It would be a me paying you cash for all your points deal :pac:

Edit: Was this today by the way? I still haven't got my ass down there to buy a set! Hope the offer is still on?

The one I got was the Caterbury range, darkish wood. Table was 140 and the chairs were 100 euro per pair. Parasol was 30 and cushions were 7 Euro each. I used a friends clubcard so the points will go on that in August. I think you're right about transfering them, I might have to use his card when we spend the points. I would have just bought the set off you, but it's too late now. The offer was until today, so you would have till Midnight tonight I'd imagine. The tesco I was in was 24hrs.

Ended up buying 4 lawn mowers, Hopefully shift them easily enough :) Got a bit worried when I saw "points earned this transaction" being the amount I spent in euro, but I asked the customer service lady and she said they'll appear later!

    Thanks for the help folks!
