    hey,

am heading to the bigger schmoke for a mini-holiday at the weekend, and just wanted to get people's €0.02 on buying electronics on the high-street in london...

i want to pick up an ipod classic 80gb, they look to retail for ~ £160, or €200 at today's rate. where would be the best place to pick it up, the Apple store itself? has anyone bought one of these in London recently? what price did you pay, and where did you get it?

is there a price premium in the Apple Store, that you don't get stung with otherwise?

i've looked on the Dixon's website, and they sell the classic 80gb for £140. surely that can't be right, or is it an online-only price?

    any input appreciated.

    ta,

    d.

Dixons have a "tax-free" shop in the airport (london Gatwick anyhow). Give them a buzz to check out the price.
