Has anyone else noticed that the revenue have two different web pages for VRT calculation already:

    CC based system:
    https://www.ros.ie/VRTEnquiryServlet/showCarCalculatorcc

    O2 based system:
    https://www.ros.ie/VRTEnquiryServlet/showCarCalculator

I notice that the revenue are not suppling CO2 emission figures on their webpage, instead there leaving it to you (backed up with your documentation, of course) and putting 0% as default.

How easy will it be to get documentation to prove your CO2 emissions on a 2nd hand car that the revenue will accept?

Where did you find this link? A few people have seen this but it doesn't ever seem to be on their site...

the first one with cc at the end is the official one when you click on the link from ros.ie

the second one without the cc at the end was the "original" original one that i have bookmarked from a while back. which is not linked by ros.ie now, but i suspect this will become linked on the 1 of july.

Ahh thats how people have come across it. The system is still in testing I wouldn't take any notice for now, the figures are way way off.

I note that the OMSP of my car differs by nearly 8000 on both systems - in fact it rises after I put in the CO2 :

    Revenue Information Customer Information
OPEN MARKET SELLING PRICE: €24767 €31276
    RATE OF TAX: 0% 20%
    VEHICLE REGISTRATION TAX:
(payable on enquiry date) €280 €6255

the VRO want 280euro for a car with 0 emissions, nice one, money for nothing!

i suspect this website is work in progress.

if you cant get Doc's to prove CO2 emissions, how much is it going to cost to get the cars CO2 emissions figures tested? and who will do it? NCT, garage DOE ?

So do I and so did most people on the previous thread.

Thread locked, as speculation on something that clearly isn't working properly yet doesn't have to be done over two threads, does it? :D
