    Chris Cargo ..

Chris Cargo has been at the forefront of electronic music in Ireland for nearly 15 years.

All styles of House Music find there way into Chris's sets - from Deep Murky House to tough Jackin Beats!

Described as 'perfect sex machine body music' by DJ Magazine and simply 'inspired' by M8 magazine. Chris manages to complement various styles into his djing sets, a journey if you like!

From triumphant sets @ Lush! In Portrush, to wowing the crowds at SOS in Hang Zhou, Q-Club-Zurich, Earth-Amsterdam to countless gigs in his native UK... Chris's thought of not sticking to one genre has proved dividend. As he explains "I couldn't stick to one genre" Chris says "it would just be boring plus a lot of djs get stuck playing the same sound over and over and before you know it you've been left behind so its important to take risks with your music"

Regular tours for the likes of Smirnoff, Tennents, Kent Tobacco, China Loop and Renaissance have seen Chris ply his wares on several large scale tours around China, USA and South America.

Chris's fan base is equally as big worldwide as it is in his native Northern Ireland one look at his list of gigs merely confirms this. From Kuala Lumpur to Kazakstan via Mexico, Siberia, Lisbon, Copenhagen, Vilnius, Hamburg, Athens in fact it would be easier to say were he hasn't been.

Chris's productions and remixes perfectly compliment his Djing style with almost 40 to his name.

Weather it is under his breaks guise of Carganoid and re-editing the likes of Green Velvet or releasing chunky Progressive on Renaissance Chris is equally at home.

On top of this Chris's has released and remixed tracks for the likes of Rozalla, Renaissance, Futureshock (label), Tony Thomas, Solar Recordings and Choo Choo.

There have been many high's in Chris's career some of those include producing alongside the likes of Barry Gilbey and D.Ramirez, DJing to 10,000 people at Creamfields, having countless plays on BBC Radio One, Witnessing John Digweed drop his remix of Sabres of Paradise-Smokebelch at midnight on New Years Eve and regularly obtaining tune of the month awards in both Mixmag and DJ Mag respectfully.

If that's not enough Mr Cargo has also just finished remixing the next Tom Novy single plus he's also remixing for the likes of Ricky Stone & Kid Lopez, Rozalla, Whelan & Di Scala, Hardy Heller and Inkfish

Further confirming Chris's mass appeal numerous compilation appearances for the likes of Renaissance, Intec, Seb Fontaine,Danny Howells, Valentino Kanzyani, Anthony Pappa, Slinky,Privledge-Ibiza, Global Underground and many more have further confirmed Chris's wide appeal and quality output making it easy to see why Chris is as well known in Eastern Europe as he is in his native Belfast.

Adding another string to his bow is promoting and over the years Chris has been behind several of Belfast's underground club nights including the mighty Sleuth which ran for five years, Imprint and of course more recently and now in its third year "Rise".

Bringing you right up to date and Chris's remix of Cowgirl by Underworld has gained massive radio one plays and huge support from the likes of David Guetta (who dropped it at Creamfields), Tom novy who ended most Sunday's at Space with it, Annie Nightingale who championed it on BBC Radio One, Steve Lawler, Desyn Massiello, Danny Howells and many many more.

    Nigel H

Nigel H has been playing in his hometown of Dublin since 1992 back in the early days of the Dance Scene. His first event was at the infamous Mansion House (the home to the City Mayor!) one of first weekly underground dance events in Dublin, before any nightclub was playing Dance Music.

Soon afterwards, he became resident DJ with Harmony Promotions, who ran Friday and Saturday Nights at Dublin's Ormonde Multi Media centre which was the first venue to hold nightly Dance events in Ireland. As well as playing, Nigel also began booking some of the UKs best acts. He organised and headlined a number of events which featured the best of the underground labels from the UK (Ugly Bug, Slate, Positiva, Cleveland City , Whoop! and Hooj tunes).

He then ran a series of blistering "Best of Irish" gigs which brought together the best DJ's from both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland . This event toured Ireland , playing in Cork, Galway, Donegal, Belfast and Dublin .

Over the years Nigel has played alongside many international DJ's including Carl Cox, Jeremy Healy, Laurent Garnier, Sasha, Darren Emmerson, Alex P., Robbie Nelson (Agnelli & Nelson), Judy Cheeks, Jimmy Somerville, Scooter, Seb Fontaine, J.X. (Son of a gun), Atlantic Ocean (Waterfall), and has worked with the following club tours Ministry of Sound, Renaissance, Manumission, Miss Moneypenny's, Hard Times, Clockwork Orange (Ibiza). Nigel plays in London working with top promoters what's on, playing in Pacha, the Cross, and the famous Hippodrome.
2004 ended on a high with Nigel playing a guest gig in 'Sliver' Cape Town and returned to the Cape February and July 2005 to play top clubs such as sliver.opium.gallery.

Nigel was one of the first DJ's in Ireland to use Final Scratch the latest in Digital DJ Technology co-developed by John Aquaviva and Richie Hawtin aka Plasticman and Stanton.

Nigel is passionate about music and making the mood work. He is versatile in his sets playing Funky to Deep to Progressive House and Hard sounds. Simply put - Good House Music. Nigel has always operated several miles ahead of his dance music colleagues and his front-running position in the club community comes from an innate talent and taste for creative exploration.

Nigel h has been Pushing the boundaries further in 2008, While lesser DJs bow to the whims of clubland fad and fashion, Nigel H continues to stand as a reliable, steadfast pillar of dance floor excellence. He brings the same douse of driving enthusiasm and inspiring innovation to his residency at POPCORN .. !!!!!

Expect to see even more fresh talents on the decks at Popcorn, along with live sets from up and coming artists. And now a fresh change is soon planned for a better and improved Popcorn-Sundays experience.

    JAY KAY

JAY KAY started DJ’ing in 1990 at Northern Ireland’s most influential House Club Kelly’s Portrush, where he carved out his knish and developed his own sound.

Within a short period of time he began to gain regular work at 2 of Ireland’s now legendary club’s of the time namely ‘Kilwaughter House’ Larne and ‘The Point’ in Donegal.

Jay then upped sticks from his home town of Ballymena and fled to the North’s capital “Belfast” upon doing so he gained residencies and guest work at some of the cities top clubs like The Network, Space and Thompson’s Garage (were he still holds down a weekly residency to this day).

Firmly established now as one of Belfast’s leading djs it was only right that when club Milk opened amid a blur of publicity that Jay became one of the residents a residency that lasted 7 years and saw him share the one and twos with the likes of Danny Rampling, Louie Vega, Joey Negro, Roger Sanchez, Eric Morillo, Harry “Choo Choo” Romero, Jim “Shaft” Ryan, Seamus Haji,Richard F & Jazzy M to name a few.

1998 was a busy year, as well as picking up the Best Northern Ireland DJ at the Bacardi Dance Awards he also gained a monthly residency at “Vena” atop Edinburgh club night in Wilkie House, played at Northern Ireland’s first Dance Festival “Planet Love” and released his debut single entitled “Expose” which was released on independent Irish label Little Fluffy Records.

Fast forward some years and alongside his Club Milk residency Jay also took up residencies at Earth in Derry, after hours club night ‘Last Chance Saloon’ (held in The Venue Club) in Belfast, completed a successful tour of Canada and entered a stage in his career were he djing 5 nights per week, quite a feet for anyone im sure you will agree!!
These days you can find Jay residing weekly at Belfast clubs The Apartment, Yello at Mynt, Thompson’s Garage (still!) Sonic Academy events and his own monthly club night ‘Glamour Boy’ at The Potthouse.
Glamour Boy is the production guise and brainchild of Jay Kay and Mark Jackson which has seen the boys re-invent and remix the likes of Faithless - Insomnia, Felix Da Housecat - Silver Screen and the classic Alison Limerick - Were Love Lives.
Watch out for various projects to be released later on this year and next.
