National Day of Mourning - 1st May

30-04-2008 11:46pm#1The Government announced to-night that the 1st of May will henceforth be a national day of mourning, commemorating the birth 17 years ago of the reincarnation of Rick Astley.
"It has been a terrible drain on the health service," said the Minister for Health. "So many poor souls turned into gibbering maniacs after encountering this entity."
A Government spokesman explained that it had originally been intended to refer to the event as the Second Coming, but this plan had to be abandoned after it was realised that there were likely to be religious objections, and that there was no witnesses to attest to his having come a first time.
"There is a huge amount of circumstantial evidence," agreed the local laundry manager. "We've had to put aside a machine specially for his soggy boxers. But it could be faked ... no-one has yet admitted to being present, let alone helping out, on any of these occasions."
The public have been warned to be on the lookout for the entity, said to closely resemble the picture below, and to take shelter and call the fashion police as soon as he is spotted.
If unable to take shelter in time, some people have been successful in avoiding insanity by blocking eyes and ears.
The entity prepares to swallow!0
