    Hi guys,
I read all the stickies and came up with nothing on this.

My mate who works for 3 convinced me to change over from Meteor billpay to 3 billpay as they offer a better deal, which they do.

However I refuse to use the crap free k630i I got with the deal, and naturally want to continue using my Nokia N80.
But i can't for the life of me get the proper access point settings for 3G access and MMS as 3 refuses to give them to me. (As its not a 3 phone).

Does anyone have the proper 3 access point settings for a Nokia N-Series phone? I found some on these boards but I can't get them to work (they may be out of date). Also, is it possible to avail of the free MSN/Skype service 3 offer? I have Fring and IM+ installed.
    Any help appreciated guys.
    Thanks. :)

Had the same problem before but it did not bother me as I rarely use the web on my phone. However when I upgraded and they sent out a sim for my old phone when I put into the non 3 phone, the phone was registered and the web started working. So I would suggest ringing up customer service and ask them to register your hand set, don't take any crap about them not supporting non 3 handsets, if you get too much bother ask to be switched to 3's scotish CC center, they are much better.

Thanks for the replies guys, great link Random, I had some of those settings already but some appear to be different. I'll give them a go next time I have 3G coverage, if they don't work i'll try the Scottish CC Anthony suggested.

The access point settings given on here work fine on my N95. I found when I went onto the 3 site and registered my number the settings worked. Also, if I try to connect to the 3 site using wifi it doesn't work, but using 3 to connect works fine.

well it wouldn't work. only authenticated 3 customers can access the 3 portal and when you go through wifi you're just another internet user

3 are the most annoying ***** when you tell them you have a non-three phone. Its almost like they get some sort of enjoyment out of giving you a hard time because you didn't buy the phone from them. I have no 'planet 3' or skype on my phone either but it doesnt bother me. to me all this stuff is like the 'badware' you get installed on a pre-built computer.

getting on the 3 website shouldnt be a problem as long as you use https. just don't listen to them when they give you the non-3 handset spiel. its bull****.

non three. cause they are a shower and dont get any good phones.. works perfectly even got skype.. only thing won't work is msn.. but their program is cr*p anyway... and have full planet three..

one thing might work.. is if you go to my three and change what your phone is... before it was a sony k610 and didn't offer me skype etc.. when i changed it in my3 to n95 it all started to work and offered me skype..

so even if you got a n80 change it to n95 and you should be able to download skype and have it all workin...

tested skype the other day... called Argentina for free for an hour and a half... from my n95 8gb

I've used an N80 on Three with no problems using the settings from the sticky here. The case of the URL is important as has been said. My3 also works better in the standard browser than the enhanced one so I would use that one instead.
