    Would this be easy to pick up at a dismantlers or should I buy new?

    You should get these sensors new in my opinion. They are sensitive enough yokes. They are approx ~€60. At least that's what I paid for a sensor for an e39. I found that once one goes they all start to go.... Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

    Sorted. Took the faulty one out to order on Ebay, cleaned it and replaced it. It seemed to do the trick, working fine now.
