I've been looking on dvdcompare.net and a lot of the dvd's I have have better releases in other regions. Is there somewhere I can buy for example a R2 Japan edition? Or other regions in general? Thanks

Generally no.The American versions can sometimes get a region 0 or 2 release but the Asian releases are generally Asian and region 3 only.
There are some class Asian releases out there that really piss all over their European counterparts. Some prime examples would be Pans Labyrinth or Orzoca (sp) The Embalmer.Pure quality.

Youre best bet is buy a multi region player.Cost around 50 quid but well worth it for the wealth of options it opens up to you.

One problem may be that you will blow a fortune (as I have) cos there is so much out there to buy.

    Hope this helps!

Or decode the region on your dvd player, if its one of the more popular brands there are plenty of websites devoted to that sort of thing
