ECW was just the usual show they have, nothing special on it. Punk losing to Palumbo was a bit strange though...

But during the main event entrances, Mike Adamle just walked off. Tazz sounded surprised and talked for a minute on his own, then he left too. It's obviously an angle (WWE.com have a story up on it now) but I have no idea where they're going with this

Very odd but it'll be interesting to see where it goes.

I think that they're trying to get Adamle involved in an angle of some sort to try and get the people to tune in to hear Adamle mess up stay there. Since I've heard of his the mistakes on his first show I've watched all 3 that he has been on (albeit on the net). I'd be curious to see whether the ratings have picked up slightly at all since he has been there.

The angle theory could also be a way to turn Tazz into a heel comentator, Adamle could complain he has been bullied by his partner who was meant to be helping him

It's had no effect on tv ratings really. I think they went down slightly from week 1 to week 2 but I'd put that down to the appearence of 'taker in week 1.

    From wwe.com

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – Tuesday night, ECW announcers Mike Adamle and Tazz removed their headsets and left the broadcast position before the conclusion of ECW on Sci Fi. The event occurred just prior to the evening’s main event Handicap Match, featuring ECW Champion Kane and Chavo Guerrero with Bam Neely.

Adamle and Tazz reportedly exited the arena and marched straight to the parking lot. Adamle was said to look shocked and expressionless as he left.

WWE Superstars were taken aback by this unprecedented occurrence. Calls and texts to both Adamle and Tazz have gone unanswered.

It has been no secret that our traditional ECW fans have not been satisfied with Adamle’s lackluster commentary. Speculation is this could have led to the play by play and color commentator walking off during a WWE broadcast. Did Adamle and Tazz leave of their own volition or were they asked to leave?

WWE.com will attempt to get exclusive video interviews from WWE Superstars about this situation and post them as soon as possible. Stay logged on to WWE.com to learn more about this shocking development.

They've had no effect, but didn't they say last week that Adamle's first ECW show was the most downloaded episode of ECW on WWE.com so far? They plugged how many downloads it got anyway

The problem with that is that Tazz left too. If Tazz was bullying him then why would he stick by him?

So has this whole thing been a work from the start? Is it possible that Adamle is actually a talented actor, and not the complete idiot he has been portraying since he showed up?

If it is a work, the man deserves an Oscar. Hoffman got one for Rain Man, and he was nowhere near as convincing as being mentally retarded as Adamle has been

Nah, I really doubt that it was the plan from the start. There's plenty of reports about Adamle being a bad presenter on live tv and radio in the past

Yeah, I saw that but seeing as it's WWE I wouldn't be surprised if they said he gave him a beat down backstage for embarrising him like that. Although i think the angle is entertaining I wish it was done better. They could have just had the Miz come on again and slag him and have him walk off because of that. ATM it's just very very confusing

Your right that its confusing! RAW, ECW and Smackdown have all been a bit weird this week. I can't wait for RAW next Monday night to see whats next in store for us!

That is true. I'm sure he did have an effect on them but Undertaker's apperence could have been a factor as well.

I don't think it's been a work from the beginning. He's just been bad, although I kinda get a kick out of him.

I was watching a documentary on the Old Gladiators series. He was the host of the American version and from the few clips you got of him, he didn't come across great in it either.
