    Hi,

I may be going into the second year of this course in Sept due to an exemption from my HND. I was wondering if anyone here can give me any info on the hours / amount of study involved, as I'll be working alot aswell.

    Thanks

    G

Well, if you end up going into second year you'll be in my class.

This - http://www.dcu.ie/timetables/feed.php3?prog=JR&per=2&week1=1&week2=12&hour=1-20&template=student - is the timetable for this year's second year, and having been to the programme board for Journalism, I don't think the hours will be changing that much at all.

But do remember that only two of the optional subjects for next year are exam-based, so there'll be rather a lot of project-based work.

If you want "proper" information email martin.molony@dcu.ie - Martin Molony, the lecturer in charge of Journalism at the moment, will be able to help you better than I can.
