What's the most extreme length anyone has gone to or heard of someone going to, to get a transfer in An Garda Siochana??

Sitting around waiting for one doesn't always work and the GRA are hardly the best for helping out either. I'm just wondering what lengths some members have been forced to go to in order to get something which should be so simple to get if things were done properly and clearly.

Ha Ha I started going out with the new probationer, the cig didn't like it and i got my transfer within the month. mind you, I married her in the end so all worked out well on both fronts :D:D:D

Telling the elfare people that there mother was suicidal and he needed to be close to her when in reality she lived in England.

Not justified and pissed a lot of people off who had genuine welfare reasons.
