    Hi all,

A friend of mine owns a restaurant and is interested in stocking unusual beers.

Does anyone know of a supplier that supplies unusual beer?

I've tried Google but couldn't come up with much :o

Your main ones are Noreast in Dundalk (Budvar, Erdinger, Aspall's and Shepherd Neame ranges) and Premier International in Enfield, Co. Meath who do the La Trappe stuff, and Vedett, Maisel's and a bunch of others. For the really interesting or unusal imports, the person to contact is Wally, who used to work for EuroBeers in Cork before it collapsed last year.

Though you don't have to go foreign to get good unusal beers: Galway Hooker might be of assistance, likewise Carlow Brewing.

Second the hooker and carlow brewing company

also the Franciscan well and a new brewery in dingle kerry.

They are probably is interested us using local ingredent so why not localy produce beer craft as well:)

The 'Well, like the Porterhouse, seems to prefer confining its beer to its own pubs, Bull & Castle excepted, I suppose.

If it's importing pallets you're up to, you could do a lot worse than filling a van with 18 Irish cask beers from Hilden *drool*

And Aussie lagers, and kiwi lagers, and Namibian lagers...

Enough already with the yellow beer.

Wally -- ex of Eurobeers, now working with the Porterhouse -- is calling his import business "Grand Cru Beers". It's still in set-up mode and is based out of Porterhouse HQ in Ballycoolin.

Porterhouse bought some of Eurobeer's stock.
Eurobeers was not bought out - it went out out of business.
