Acer built in card reader hc compatible

I have an acer 9300 laptop and a dell inspiron 6000. Is there anyway of making the in built card reader HC comaptible. Most of my mem cards are micro sdhc or sdhc. Transfer is much slower via ausb cable into the device.

I'm pretty sure you can't, i had the same problem with my dells card reader. I'm open to correction though!

I was pointed to a microsoft patch for win xp which hasnt worked either.
