seriously tho, what does everyone think, or are you all too busy playing it to comment?
unfortunately, I don't get paid sick days from work and I'm too tight not to come in and swallow that. I did do it for PS3 launch day, but I don't think I could for one game, even if it is THE game.
first impressions?
really liking it, I'm getting into it a lot quicker than I did with San Andreas, but I do have a few niggles.
the default control system, maybe it's just me having gotten used to other games, but the car controls and fighting don't seem to be very intuitive to my style of playing. I don't remember having that before, but then I don't remember what the controls were previously, so maybe I've just gotten used to the controls in other games since.
that's it for the bad points I think, any other criticisms I may have are probably all related to not beinbg fully in control due to the above, but aside from that I'm liking it A LOT.
one thing that really struck me (literally) was the first time I hit a small immovable object (a bollard) andfound myself flying through the air through the windscreen!, lol, that was certainly fun.
i was worried that the car handling was going to suck, just from watching the leaked opening scene but they're actually fine once you get into the game.
(just from the first few missions) I like the idea of having multiple possible outcomes to certain missions, it adds a little something to pull you away from the linear storyline and I'm hopeful that it'll continue and gives you several possible different courses through the game (hopefully).
anyway, so first impressions are a solid 9/10, maybe more once I get further into the game. didn't even get to shoot a gun yet.
