Subtitle software?

    I have a WMV file that I want to add subtitles too. I've seen it done using text files. But is there any free software for doing this sort of thing?

    Subtitle Workshop might be what you're looking for, but I'm unsure if it handles WMVs (you could always convert the vido to AVI if not).
    This would be better suited to the audio-video editig forum, BTW.

    Give MAGpie a try. It's open source and free and I think it can handle wmv (don't quote me).

    PS do you mean subtitles or captions? Usually people mean captions so a Google with that word should give you more hits.
