Mo' Money, Mo problems?

I live my life saying money won't make me happy... But it'll be one hell of a thing to tick off the list of things that make me unhappy. If I won say, 25 million on the Euromillions, I wonder would I be happier? The first thing to do would be to live it up, take a year or two out of college and go travelling with a few mates, first class all the way. Never without weed, a pint and a lovely meal. But wouldn't that take from the fun?

The majority(I know some fairly lovely wealthy people but they are a minority) of people I've met that have no money worries tend to be ***** so I doubt I'd try to run in those circles but it's unlikely that I'd be able to hide the fact that I had that kind of money so I'd be attracting the poor ***** too, meeting a nice girl would be harder than it is now >_<
Now most likely I'd have some sort of crisis of conscience and would like to spend my money on helping people less fortunate than myself, but that's when 25mill becomes not a lot of money, so my job becomes managing my money to keep myself wealthy in order to do charity work. Also, who to help? I mean, I reckon Africa but then again 25 mill? A drop in a bucket.

I probably wouldn't have any problems going back to college, being an Art student. I'd say it'd be a hell of a job keeping myself motivated though, trying to paint between going out every night, smoking myself retarded half the time and taking flights whenever I felt slightly bored. I dunno though, it's a ridiculous fortune and my personal belief is that it's unethical to be that wealthy with so much poverty in the world.

That said, I severely doubt I'd turn it down.

    Show meeeee the moneyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!

I wouldn't mind putting up with a few problems for 25 mil. It'd be well worth it.
You'd just have to watch out for the heather mills type of problem. You don't
want to hook up with some greedy bi'atch who only wants to get her claws
    into your rather large wad.

The basic premise would be if she wasn't interested before she's only interested for the money now. But for new strangers you just wouldn't know. Although being an average joe myself i'd be very suspicious of beautiful women suddenly throwing themselves at me.

Just don't get married (too soon) and don't spend insane amounts on her. That would be my plan anyway. How's it feel to be talked to like you've just won?

how could money not solve problems??? just use it as a very easily accessed saftey net. one of my mates's parents are involved in real estate and once they have sufficent capital, they reckon they can build on your fortune. give half my cash to them to be "intelligent" and everything else i'd blow on friends, family and ME!

I'd hate to win 25 million. I wouldn't mind a million, enough to buy a nice house and that, but seriously that kind of money is just obscene and I don't think it would make me any happier than I am now.

Don't think I went about this the right way.

If you consider that we're wealthier than we've ever been, are we happier?

If your not, cop on to yourself. you've enough to eat, roof over your head and pretty much all your essential needs. float back a few centeries when famine was wide spread enjoy being poor for a while

Definitely not, society as a whole anyway. There was a recent thread on this very issue.

Have to say I don't think a mill would do me,you'd only be able to get a decent house, couldn't afford to take while off work! Was reading somewhere recently that if you wanted to retire on winning the lotto around late 20's-early 30's you'd have to win €12m to get by comfortably!

That's ridiculous - give the rest away then to friends, family and charity, or to me .... I'll make use of it !!!!!

A large sum of money would solve my only problem, a lack of money.

Money won't make an asshole any less of an asshole. Money can bring its own problems if people know you have it. :)

    Depends what you do -

Id be like a good fairy... first off i would not make it public that i'd won...
I'd go round clearing family mortgages without a word..
Holiday tickets just appearing etc.. Wouldn't that be excellent!!! :) I would love it!
