    Hi all,
I have a small garden which has become over run with moss and a good crop of Dandelions
There is a large variety and different brands out there to deal with this. Does anyone have a preference as to which is the most effective? Or ,Are they all the same?
    Any suggestions greatly welcomed...

Moss is difficult to control if soil is not free draining. Spray/ Water with a Dilute solution of Sulphate or Iron (Hardware store) and the moss will go black and die. You can pull the dead moss out with a lawn rake or hire an electric rake to do the hard work.

In autumn, spike the lawn with a Garden fork and brush in sharp sand.
Keeping the lawn short in Summer will discourage moss growth.

Dandelions and weeds should be treated separately a few weeks after removing the moss. Buy D50 (500ml) from hardware or agricultural store and use as a selective herbicide to spot treat the weeds. (does not damage grass)

Applying lawn fertilizer in spring will encourage healthy grass growth which will help it win the battle against moss and weeds.
