According to Sky News - he's 'desperate' to win a world title and thinks Harrison has taken him as far as he can go.

    Thoughts?

looks like he wants to get an american trainer,... that way he will get more respect from the US audience.
P.R stunt , no doubt who put him up to that (FW) ?

Of all the names being thrown around who do you think would suit Khan best and how would that affect his future fights.
eg Roach trains Pacquiao and they have hinted at fighting each other in the future when Pac moves up

Don's probably better promoting than training to be honest,....
was just reading Ollie Harrison's side of the split,... His letter appears to be on route to him via post at the moment.
It was all a surprise to him as he read it in the papers.

Its got to be every trainers nightmare,..... you look after and bring up a kid to be a special prospect ,... then as soon as the big money starts to come in.... he fooks off on ya !!!

Now i dont really like that.
If Amir Khan was a true muslim , he would be binding to the ethics of loyalty,.... not off chasing the money route.

Anyway , it looks like its buddy mc girt , and rumour has it he willl be fighting Gavin Rees next .... could be total ballacks, but i read it on the amir khan site.

What has religion got to do with this ?

I think he is a very special talent and feel he needs a top, top trainer to make sure his talent isn't wasted. Was surprised with the choice of Harrison in the first place and always felt it was only a matter of time before they split. I just hope whoever fills the breach makes the most of their position.

Well Amir is always talking bullsh!t about doing the right thing and observing principles but I guess money makes mugs of us all.

I'll say this much- there are soooo many wrinkles to be worked out of Khan its not funny. Hands low, ammy style {in out, flurry, in out, flurry in out....} and his chin is higher :pac::pac: than Mt Everest...I think his jaw is suss and his power is only showing against 130lbrs.

absolutely nothing ,....... I dont know why I said that .
im just a Khan hater at the moment.

funny thing is , i have 100 euro on that he wont be world champion by dec 31st 2008. Therefor it is I who is actually chasing the money...
I know, Im a total d-head at times

Can't say I ever remember him ever talking about principles. All he ever talks about is boxing which is grand by me. He's a very grounded kid for someone who had fame thrown on him at such a young age.

In relation to money, I can't see how any new trainer is going to be cheaper than Harrison especially if he goes high profile as expected.

All he's doing is changing trainer, something loads of boxers do. Oscar De La Hoya has had more trainers than I care to remember and yet nobody comes on here whinging about him each time he changes.

I highly doubt it's the money that Khan is thinking about with thise move as has been suggested above. Maybe I'm naive but I'de say he's trying to ensure success in the ring in a reasonable timeframe.

The main objective of using a American trainer is to increase his profile in the U.S...... that to me is obvious.

Dont know if anybody remembers this , ...but before Khan fought steffy Bull, Khan claimed his was good enough to get in with Floyd Mayweather.
Now he's saying that he's learning from him.

To me , Khan is the the over-grown kid in the school yard, who picks fights with the kids in the younger years. Every year has one.

I'd like to see Khan move up for 1 fight against ricardo Torres or somebody like that , see if Khan is half the man of his opponents.

Lets see Khan travel out to Columbia, to Torres's hometown, with 5000 people screaming for Torres, whilst Khan knows that he's fighting a better and more powerful , bigger boxer.
Because that is how these little guys feel when they are matched up with Khan in the Bolton Arena. they dont stand a chance.
Then you have the usual media bluffers talking about what a tough step up it is for Khan , how difficult it will be to fight against an opponent 2 weight classes below , with absolutley no power in their punch.

Then we hear how great Amir's performance was ... presenters taylor-made to spout that fairytale stuff the brittish public want to hear.

    Every dog has his day.

Hopefully one day Amir khan will be forced to fight somebody in his own weight bracket.
