    Although this is a good deal. Dabs have a WD 160GB for €61.44 including vat. Postage would be €5 and the warranty would be easier to enforce

    I dont think it matters. In fact for a laptop drive the 5400 would run cooler. THe 7200 would not have any benifit as the max speed transfer over usb is 25-30MB/s and the latency from USB would be greater than the latency from the drive IMO :)

    For this and other offers, isn't there always the danger that customs will stop it?

    I'm always trying to ensure that I stay below the €22 import limit... although from another thread I see that this is likely to increase to €150 in December.
