    Hey peeps,

Anyone here going to this gig? Who may be supporting her? Also anyone know where she might be hanging out after the gig, or even if she is the type to meet fans afterwards?

God, it was Joe Chester last time I saw Gemma live. Woeful, unprepared, uninspired indie of the worst kind.

Yes saw him last time too. thought he would have been better because i had heard good things about him. i think this time he might be playing with her rather than supporting her but i could be wrong

Wanted to go to this but the only person I know who likes her was busy, couldn't inspire anyone else to go either and didn't feel like spending 60 euro for the privilege.

I'd be regretting it too if it wasn't for United/Barca tonight ;)

I went and I have to say was pretty dissappointed. I think she played for an hour and 10 minutes. She was finished by 10:10 pm.
I was sitting in the balcony so couldn't really gauge but it seemed like the crowd just weren't into it and that fed back to the singer and her band.

Joe Chester was playing with her, thankfully, this time. The support act was dour and boring but I knew I recognised some of her songs. Turns out it was Ann Scott and I have her album, for some reason:o

All and all for a €30 gig, and from a big Gemma Hayes fan, it was poor all round.

Did you think it was a bad gig?? i thought it was short, and she could've thrown a couple of curveballs into an otherwise set setlist but generally i came away happy that i saw a good gig featuring musicians really into their roles in a great venue.

It wasn't a bad gig as such, perhaps I shouldn't have said it was poor all round.

I'd have no complaints about how or what she played. I just felt disappointed... I think this was the fourth time I've seen her and all the previous gigs certainly seemed longer.

I was really looking forward to it and in the end went away feeling a little hard done by. I mean she has 3 albums worth of stuff to play now, I don't think 90 minutes of music is too much to ask for.

Yeah true...maybe been away in LA has caused her to lose touch with her irish base...
