''cheap'' leopard c.d ?

    updated my macbook with leopard there bout a month ago - bought it with tiger in september-ish last year

    anyway - the cd wont read now and i need a re-install


    do apple to a refurb cd section or anyone know where to get a cd for a good price

    this has to be a proper cd - i dont want a copied cd - if possible

    Is it scratched? If so polish it vigorously with 'Brasso'. No joke, its a mild abrasive. Toothpaste also works but is a bit harsher ( dont forget to floss as well!)

    no its practically gone - i mean i wont even insert it in my macbook anymore in fear of it not coming back out

    You could try eBay, there's always a few floating around there. How did it get scratched? If it got scratched in your Mac's drive you should take it up with Apple. Otherwise there's a thread going here about trying to get a replacement for a lost CD from Apple, you could try pursuing a similar route, since you bought a software licence rather than just the medium, but you may not get anywhere with them.

    If you purchased it with your credit card, you may be able to claim from them; however there may be a time limit on such a claim as well as a excess so get cracking.

    i found a leopard cd on ebay for about 30 euro - postage included

    so ill just get that
