No word on whether they're even developing a PC version yet. GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas were all playstation exclusives for around 9 months after their release, only then was a PC version available.

1 word why it may, money. Couldn't see them leaving out the pc altogether. As far as the interviews and things saying that they probably won't do a pc version, there was quite similar things said on the release of liberty city stories and vice city stories on the psp about not being released on the ps2 but look what happened there.

Think of it from the Developers POV..

You spend millions making a game [even porting the game would cost into the millions, 4 or 5 programmers + QA time + marketing etc etc etc] you sell x thousand copies and see millions of downloads from torrent sites. Why bother!

Perhaps they will implement something to prevent pirated copies playing MP.

A lot for folks would buy it for MP then.

One thing's for sure though. You'd need one hell of a PC to run it, if it did happen.

If it runs on the 360 and ps3 then an average gaming pc would do just fine.

It'll be a real shame if this fails to come out on the PC. GTA was always a better experience on the PC, and now that this finally comes with MP, just think of the insane clan matchs and mods and stuff.

Id imagen every other gta game on the pc made rockstar a nice little profit why would this be any different?

2. Build demand for PC version.
3. Spread rumors.
4. Evaluate sales of console versions and predict whether PC would result in overall financial loss.
5. Design and make pc version anyway.
6. Embrace for massive piracy.
7. Release.
