Seeing as the summer is nearly here . Can anybody recommend a cycle route as where to cycle to for person living in the southside ?

A pleaseant route is down the marina, along by Blackrock Castle, then along the public walkway beside the estuary and then up/over the South link and back along the old railway line to the Marina again.

This is a rough sketch : http://www.mapmyrun.com/walk/ireland/cork/817457932210 The Railway line is between Miles 4 & 4

Or go down the Marina, join the old railway line (keep going south from marker 4) and cycle along it as far as Passage West - a lovely ride. You could keep going and get the ferry across, cycle to Cobh and get the train home.
