    A mate of mine took this snapshot on top of Lugnaquilla on Feb 22nd 2008.

    He said there was 3 foot of snow in parts.

    Nice shot!
    3ft would be a common enough occurance up there in cold spells during winter and actually quite frequently this winter.
    Your mate wouldn't have been able to get up there when that snow was fresh!
