i'm relocating from dublin to kildare at the end of the year and will be looking for jobs in tax (practice or industry) in the kildare / carlow / kilkenny region. i'm big 4 trained and have been working in a top tier law firm for the past 6 months (total experience: 3 and a half years). Does anyone have any idea as to whether there'll be many jobs going and whether i'll have to take much, if any, of a pay cut? i'm currently on circa €70k.

Hey, sorry this is a little off topic. But I was having a conversation with my friend the last day and he is currently doing his tax exams. He was saying he went to work in tax because there is so much money in it. In your post you say on 70,000 with less than 4 years experience. Is that total experience since leaving University. If so he is pretty spot on, pretty impressive wage.

yeah i'm out of college nearly 4 years. did the aca and aiti exams. did the Macc in UCD so started work with a lot of exemptions for both sets of exams which meant i qualified quite quickly and got a fairly decent salary within a fairly short time frame.
