Here is the WWE.com statement: WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Balls Mahoney as of today, April 28, 2008. We wish Mahoney the best in all his future endeavors.

This morning, World Wrestling Entertainment announced that veteran wrestler Dave Taylor, last seen teaming with Drew McIntyre on Smackdown, has been released from the company.

PWInsider.com is reporting that World Wrestling Entertainment released developmental talent Michael Thompson today.

Do you not think Taylor could have done some good work as a road agent or the like?

Thanks be to Christ. I have always maintained that Balls was completely useless. What was the point of having him on the roster, when you had a guy like Dreamer who could do all the hardcore stuff but can also have a perfectly good singles match? The last of the old ECW deadwood has been removed. I'm not at all surprised Dreamer is the last one left standing.

Dreamer is well liked backstage though so he could be a road agent if they ever pull him off tv
